I walked out of the diner in complete control of Troy, and I arrived at his estate with him wrapped around my little finger. With a few words and gestures, I’d been able to bring a man who thought himself my superior into a state of submission. I’d watched as the confidence evaporated from Troy’s face, leaving lust and a total desire to be dominated in its place. It was an easy switch, like flicking on a light, and that I could bring it out of him without much effort was as humbling as it was empowering.

Troy trusted me, someone he’d known on a long-distance basis, but had never met in real life until a few hours before, to guide him. Not everyone could give of themselves so readily. Submission was an act of faith, and whether that meant allowing another person to bring pain or pleasure, or granting someone access to sensitive documents and accounts so they could make life-changing decisions, it was not to be taken for granted.

Once we were through the gates and down the long driveway leading to Troy’s impossibly large modern home, Troy exited the vehicle, waved off the driver, and opened the car door for me himself. I got out in silence, taking in the sights. A rock garden stretched along the front of the house, small desert plants artfully positioned within it. The house itself was angular and flat, reminding me more of a Californian home overlooking the ocean than a Vegas paradise. The place was lit up, inside and out, tasteful inlaid lights illuminating each side of the driveway like a classy landing strip. The curtains were open, and through floor-to-ceiling windows, I saw a minimalistic living room. Despite how sparse its furnishings were, they were tasteful and expertly arranged.

“Show me inside,” I instructed.

Troy obeyed.

We headed through the front door, past a gruff-looking security guard with dark hair who was far from hard on the eyes, to Troy’s bedroom. I’d seen glimpses of it before in the pictures Troy had sent me during play sessions, but seeing it in person was nothing like the glimpses I’d seen. The back wall opposite the door was entirely made of glass and overlooked a rarity in Vegas—grass. Troy maintained a lawn. To the right were two doors, one leading to a master bathroom, the other to a walk-in closet, and to the left was the bed. A royal blue blanket was folded at its foot, its sheets a lighter, refreshing blue so carefully laid that I didn’t see a single wrinkle. If I hadn’t known better, I would have thought they were painted on. Light, bright hardwood floors and white walls made the room cheery.

Of all the things in the world I would have called Troy even a few days back, cheery wasn’t one of them—but it fit him. I was oddly impressed by the space he’d made for himself. Maybe it was the fact that I was in total control of a powerful man,
